Castlethorpe Duck Race & Fun Dog Show

The much-loved Castlethorpe Duck Race and Fun Dog Show is back on Sunday 14th June 2026, taking place from 1pm to 5pm along the beautiful River Tove. This biennial event promises another fantastic afternoon of fun for all ages and is a real highlight of the village calendar.

At the heart of the day is the famous duck race, alongside a fun dog show that always draws plenty of laughs and friendly competition. There will also be fun fair attractions, children’s activities, a tempting selection of food stalls, a beer tent, and a wide variety of local stalls to browse. Don’t miss the ever-popular tea tent, serving a wonderful selection of fabulous homemade cakes — a firm favourite with visitors every year.

As well as being a great family day out, the event plays an important role in supporting the community. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of our SS Simon and Jude Church, and the day also provides local charities and organisations with the opportunity to raise vital funds for worthwhile causes.

The event is run entirely by dedicated volunteers, to whom we are incredibly grateful. We are always happy to welcome new helpers, so if you’d like to get involved or lend a hand, please do get in touch.
